WHY VIRTUAL?
We understand that people love to get together, fellowship and share their own perspectives and experiences. However, our focus is providing educational content to the greatest number of people possible.
- Accessibility – ability to reach a significantly broader audience and procure higher priced speakers.
- Cost-effective – the event is accessible to a wider range of participants. Many Master Gardeners find the >$1500 cost to attend an in-person international conference to be cost prohibitive. Less than 0.28% of Texas Master Gardeners attended the recent conference in Kansas.
