Smith County AgriLife Extension Services Earth-Kind Environmental Education Committee to present: Second Annual Professional Landscape Maintenance Conference
Tyler, Texas – The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Earth-Kind Environmental Education committee of Smith County will be presenting its second “Professional Landscape Maintenance Annual Conference,” a landscape maintenance educational program on Friday, ,January 24, 2025 from 8:30 am until 12:00 noon in the Cotton Belt Building, room 116.
During this program participants will learn about soil fertility, interpreting soil analysis and nutrient applications, identifying common landscape diseases that can be found on local landscape plant materials and a live demonstration of using proper pruning techniques on common landscape plant materials.
Speakers include Smith County Ag/Natural Resources agent Mr. Clint Perkins, Mr. Ron Hill and Dr. Greg Grant, Smith County Horticulture agent.
On-site registration for this program will be provided in front of the Smith County AgriLife office on the bottom floor of the Cotton Belt Building. Companies sending a group of employees will need to identify one person to pay for all participants in their group and have their entire group register together. Registration will run from 8 am to 8:30 am. Program fee is $10 per participant; cash or check only, please. Checks can be made out to the Smith County Horticulture Fund.
