The Cypress Basin Master Gardeners Association

Our Master Gardener program is an educational and volunteer program offered by the  A&M AgriLife Extension of the Texas A&M University System. It is open to people of all ages, regardless of socio-economic level, race, color, sex, ability or national origin. The program is designed to increase the availability of horticultural information and extend horticultural projects throughout the community. These goals are implemented through the training and employment of local volunteers known as Master Gardeners. The Cypress Basin Master Gardener program provides invaluable training and educational opportunities. Professional and amateur horticulturists, as well as persons simply seeking up-to date horticultural information, can advance their gardening expertise, and gain self-satisfaction through volunteer efforts. The volunteer aspect of the Master Gardener program allows individuals to dedicate their time and talents to enhancing the quality of life for citizens in their community using the science and art of horticulture. One component of the Cypress Basin Master Gardener program is providing free gardening advice to county residents. We would be glad to help you with any of your gardening quandaries.

Is the Master Gardener Program for Me?Cypress Basin Master Gardeners Association

To help you decide if you should apply to be a Master Gardener, ask yourself these questions:

• Do I want to learn more about the culture and maintenance of many types of plants?

• Am I eager to participate in an expansive 10 week training program? (new classes every January)

• Do I look forward to sharing my knowledge with people in my community?

• Do I have enough time to attend training and to complete the volunteer service?

If you answered yes to these questions, the Master Gardener program could be for you. Contact the Titus County AgriLIFE Extension Office for more information on the Cypress Basin Master Gardener program. You can obtain an application from the Master Gardener Coordinator at this office or Click Here for more information and to download an application to become a Certified Texas Master Gardener. The Cypress Basin Master Gardeners are comprised of members from Titus, Franklin, Camp and Morris Counties. Come Grow With Us.
