Welcome to our Greenhouse page. Currently it is serving a dual function. The Slideshow is of some photos that were taken during the conversion to a fully functioning Greenhouse. And on the right side of that table are links to photos of the greenhouse starting in 2016. There are photos of the greenhouse that go back to 2008 when we were given the greenhouse by Titus County. Our Greenhouse and Demonstration Gardens have changed to be used for a Greenhouse and Propagation. The links and images here are from the previous Demonstration beds.

We wanted to demonstrate that gardening does not take a lot of space and a lot of equipment to have a successful garden by showing the various methods of constructing different types of raised beds in areas that most home owners could incorporate into their landscape. Here members Evelyn Winkleblack, Ladd Winkleblack, and Noelle Hood watch member Jill Klepzig measure the first row diameter of a circular bed they are constructing from stone blocks. Below are some of the beds we have built to demonstrate what is possible.
CBMGA donates a significant portion of what is grown in our greenhouse to SAFE-T. To see what we have grown and donated to SAFE-T, Click Here.

The Greenhouse has been totally converted to be a greenhouse to be used for CBMGA to propagate plants for our plant sale. The conversion was a trial in 2017 and fully converted in 2018 which facilitated our propagation efforts to be more successful than ever. The links below are still active but no longer are part of the greenhouse. They will remain for now as an aid to anyone who is interested in the options for building raised beds.

Noelle	CBMGA is trying something new for the Hoop House. We are trying to utilize the space to propagate plants for our Plant Sale next year. It will be a challenge to try and keep plants from both freezing and from overheating but that is how you learn. To take on this challenge, Noelle Hood and Mary Christensen have stepped up to organize and manage our propagation efforts. We will keep you posted on how our experiment is going.
