Topic/s:
Home Fruit and Nut Production
Well established and properly maintained fruit plantings can be productive as well as beautiful in a home landscape. However, to be successful, most fruit crops require years of patient care and hard work.
First half of the Feb. 1 class will be Lisa Egner on how and what types of bulbs, rhizomes, tubers and corms to plant for East Texas so that you have a season long flowering of these types of plants.
Roy Stinson and John Rowland will present a lawn grass/turf program during the 7:30 to 9 PM time frame. If you have questions on types of grasses what disease and insect pests to watch for in your lawn and or how and when to irrigate and fertilize then this is the class to attend. These two men have been involved in turf management for a total of 70 years. They plan on about 30 minutes for question answer type problems from the group.
Light fare food will be served for the interns from 5:30 to 6:00pm
